The Yokohama History Society was established in the summer of 2022 by a small group of friends with a shared love of Yokohama and a fascination with its past.
To share and deepen knowledge of Yokohama’s history, and to meet and make friends with similar interests, we plan to hold talks, at comfortable intervals, primarily at the Yokohama Country & Athletic Club (YC&AC) in Yamate.
We intend for the talks to be social gatherings, with an expert speaker addressing a topic before taking questions from the audience at the end. The YC&AC venue, with its restaurant and bars, allows for conversations to flow informally over drinks both before and after the talks.
The talks will typically be in English and admission is free.
