130 years ago, Yokohama was transfixed by the most notorious scandal in its history! It led to a murder trial which attracted attention as far away as Europe and North America. Did she poison her husband? Did he deserve it? Was she framed? Who was the mysterious “Woman in Black,” and who wrote the letters signed only “A.L.”? Travel with us back in time to 1896, and meet the only woman sentenced to hang under British law—in Japan.
